The Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors received five letters of interest, résumés and applications for the vacant Justice of the Peace position. The following individuals submitted the required documents by the deadline:

The Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors will interview candidates at a special meeting on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 8:00 a.m. in room 119 of the Santa Cruz County complex. The special meeting will occur in an executive session closed to the public unless a candidate requests otherwise.
The Board of Supervisors will appoint a new Santa Cruz County Justice of the Peace on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at the conclusion of the interview process/executive session. The appointment will be announced in room 120 of the Santa Cruz County complex, and the person appointed will start serving on Monday, December 11, 2023. The Santa Cruz County complex is located at 2150 N. Congress Drive in Nogales, Arizona.

Additionally, during the public portion of the meeting on December 7, 2023, members of the public will have an opportunity to address the Board of Supervisors should they choose to share their thoughts and/or opinions involving any of the applicants.
