The Patagonia Youth Enrichment Center hosted 35 local teens at the fifth annual Youth Conference on Saturday, Nov. 9 at the Youth Center. 

The day consisted of presentations and activities covering topics of mindfulness, opioid addiction, underage drinking consequences, domestic violence signs and resources, mental health disorders, suicide, depression and anxiety signs and ways to find help, and alternative healthy activities to help deal with mental health issues.

The youth attendees were treated to a fully catered lunch from Rancho Grande, snacks, goodie bags, journals, and PYEC tie-dyed t-shirts.

The event was sponsored by Adolescent Wellness Network, Santa Cruz County attorney George Silva, Santa Cruz County School Superintendent Alfredo Velasquez, NAMI of Sierra Vista, YADA of Nogales, Darrells Designs, Circles of Peace, CCRT, and private donations.
