A Perspective on Change
I just want to say it is great that there is a local paper. I grew up in Patagonia and graduated from Patagonia High School in 1965. I returned to Patagonia in the early ’90s for about ten years, served on the High School Board for most of those ten years, and watched Patagonia grow and deal with change. I now live in Gilbert, close to our children and grandchildren.
Patagonia is one of the most beautiful places I have had the fortune to live and grow up in. I caution that Patagonia be very selective in implementing the new changes that many towns have gone through and think about them from a long-term perspective, not just a short-term perspective. A number of changes that may help in the short term may be detrimental in the long term. Keep the small town perspective and focus on education and the arts.
Congratulations on the paper and much continued success.
