In January, we asked if anyone knew the story of the 1927 High Point Cup trophy that was discovered when the elementary school closed in 2014.
Thanks to our member and friend Alison Bunting, world champion researcher, we now know the truth:
“The Santa Cruz Patagonian had the answer. Patagonia Grammar School won many races at the 1927 Santa Cruz County Fair. The High Point Cup and the girls’ relay team cup arrived in December.”
