The grand opening ceremony and ribbon cutting of Arizona’s first Ben Carson Reading Room took place Dec. 8, 2016 at Patagonia Montessori Elementary School. Kendall, the grandson of John Henry Cady—an early Arizona pioneer, soldier and builder of the Patagonia Hotel—was in attendance.

The Montessori School has been doing Acro-yoga and slacklining with Chip and Laura Fieberg, who have been doing these activities for about five years. The Fiebergs learned about Acro-yoga at a festival in 2008, and soon after discovered slacklining from their Acro-yoga teachers.
