A gray hawk perches on a branch at the Paton Center in Patagonia. Photo by Tom Brown

By Tom Brown – Site Manager at the Paton Center I think that each person, depending on what part of the country they grew up in, has a unique โ€œthingโ€ that represents the first of spring for them. For me personally, the true harbinger of spring here in the Patagonia area is the arrival of the gray hawks. Click here to read more about the gray hawks recently spotted at the Paton Center.
