Recycling Returns to Patagonia

County To Host Meeting, Public Survey, Site Map to Enhance Public Input Regarding Cuisine Tourism Initiative

SC County will be hosting a community meeting on Jan. 16, 6pm at the Elgin Elementary School Gym in Elgin, requesting community input through an online survey as well as providing a SiteMap to enhance community understanding and receive input regarding the Cuisine Tourism Project currently being researched for Sonoita AZ. Recording Notification Service Available for SCC Residents

The Santa Cruz County Recorderโ€™s Office announces the implementation of the Recording Notification Service, effective immediately. This new opt-in system will notify residents when their names appear in documents recorded with the Santa Cruz County Recorderโ€™s Office. Click here to read more.

The PRT is published on the first Friday of every month (except July and September) and is available at these distribution points while supplies last.

Submitting Community Events to the PRT

The PRT is committed to sharing details and information about upcoming community events with our readers at no cost in our weekly e-newsletter. Due to the large number of submissions, the PRT will no longer be able to post each and every poster in our newsletter. We will share a link to your event page or poster, or a brief description of each event. Each week we will post one or two event flyers. Please share your events via email at least one week prior to the event date. Poster submissions require a JPEG format along with a brief typed description about the event in your email to Nisa Talavera, Assistant Editor at prtasted@gmail.com. All submissions for the Wednesday e-newsletter must be submitted by Monday, 5pm.

Jan. 7: 12pm “The Janes” an award-winning documentarySpecial Event at the Tin Shed Theater – Joined by Heather Booth, one of the original “Janes”, following the screening for a Zoom question and answer period. Refreshments will be served. Suggested donation for the event is $10.

Jan. 11: 6pm – The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) will host a public hearing on at the Patagonia High School, 200 Naugle Ave. The purpose of this meeting is to receive comments from concerned citizens about the renewal of a permit to allow South 32 to discharge treated mine-affected waters from their Hermosa site in the Patagonia Mountains.
