The Patagonia High School baseball season concluded with a pair of back-to-back losses on the road: 17-12 to Ray on April 23 and 10-8 to Fort Thomas on April 24.
The Lobos finished with a 1-15 record but had two of their better offensive performances in their final two games.
Seniors Isaiah Ruiz and Arturo Magallanes and junior Johnny Fields had two hits apiece in the loss to Fort Thomas. Ruiz drove in three runs,Fields scored three times, and Magallanes and sophomore Lulu Donnelly each scored twice.
Miguel Alberran had four hits and five RBI against Ray, and Magallanes and Fields each scored four times.
Ruiz and Magallanes were the lone seniors on Patagonia’s roster, so the young Lobos will look to take a step forward next season with another year of experience under their belts.
