I would like to send a “thank you” to the communities of Sonoita and Patagonia for supporting the Santa Cruz Humane Society in Nogales, and hopefully preventing their closure. Thanks to all the individuals who have donated money and supplies, and to all the businesses (12 total) who sponsor Dog and Kitty Banks that sit on their counters to receive loose chane or bills, and whose proceeds are taken to the Humane Society every two weeks. It all makes a difference for those animals in need of a home, being cared for, lovingly, at our no-kill shelter. Dr. Rojas has retired from his veterinary practice but continues to do spay/neuter surgeries every Wednesday, which he has faithfully done for so many years. May this important work for our companion animals continue.
