We do not post any notices in the PRT Newsletter for events that are more than three weeks away. Flyers for nonprofits, community organizations and fundraisers will be accepted. Submissions and or questions should be in email form or a word document to Nisa Talavera, Assistant Editor at prtasted@gmail.com. All submissions for the Wednesday e-newsletter must be submitted by Tuesday, 10 a.m.

Nov 12 & 13 (tentatively) – Yard Sale to benefit the pool

PRAC now has its very own 501(c)3 status! Your tax-deductible donations can now be made directly to PRAC. The pool’s operating budget averages out over the year to about $6,000 a month, which PRAC is paying. Also, many grants require matching or in kind donations. Please send your donations to:

Patagonia Volunteer Fire and Rescue will be serving our famous burgers again at this years Sky Island Artisan Market in Patagonia. October 8-9 at the south end of the park. And new this year you will be able to enjoy a BEER with that mesquite charcoal grilled 1/3lb burger!




At The Tin Shed Theater – Hocus Pocus Double feature October 29, 6pm FREE Popcorn and Witches Brew! Don’t forget your broom! KIDS FREE

Coffee with the Chief Stop by the Sonoita-Elgin Fire station on Saturday, October 29 from 900 to 1030a.m. to enjoy a cup of coffee and chat informally with Chief Meredith. Information about the latest at the department, upcoming activities and items of importance to the community will be available.

Community School Information


Patagonia High School presents, Cafรฉ Murder! A murder mystery interactive dinner theatre! Tickets will go on sale Mon., October 3 in the school office. Production dates are Tue. and Wed. October 25 and at 5pm. There will be a limited number of seats available for each show, so buy your tickets early! There will be NO sales at the door! Tickets are $10 individually or $50 for an entire table (seats 6 to a round table). Dinner will include 3 courses and a beverage. Contact Journee Hayes with any questions.

Non Perishable Food Drive – Crossroads Mission Nogales is holding a non-perishable food drive in October to stock its food pantry. This is an urgent need. Crossroads Mission Nogales feeds over 100 meals daily plus provide emergency food bags/shelter to individuals and families in need. Crossroads Mission is the only homeless shelter, addiction program and domestic abuse shelter in Santa Cruz County, AZ.  Non perishable food items like canned soup, vegetables, tuna. chili, pasta, rice, beans, etc. can be dropped off at the Crossroads Mission Mon-Fri 9am to 4pm. For more information – Crossroads Nogales Mission



Sonoita has a very small “billiards club”. We generally try to get together to play pool every two weeks, but it’s pretty informal and sometimes we’ll skip a week and pick up again on an off week. Volunteer Opportunity

Crossroads Mission Nogales will serve their annual Thanksgiving Dinner to hundreds of families on SAT. NOVEMBER 19. If you’d like to help serve those in need a Thanksgiving meal plus provide food boxes, please go to the website for additional information. Volunteer Coordinator Victoria Vanderhoof will contact you. Church and service groups are welcome with open arms. Crossroads Mission Nogales is the only homeless / addiction recovery center in Santa Cruz County. There are two volunteer shifts:

*8am to 11am  (cook, serve food, distribute food boxes) *11am to 2pm  (serve food, distribute food boxes, clean up)
