Happenings at the Patagonia Library
By Kayla Miller The Patagonia Library has upgraded its teen computers to new gaming laptops (yay!) In addition, we have also updated our child internet policy, so we now require all children who would like to use the computer to have a new Computer Permission Slip signed by their parent or guardian. The permission slips are available at the library during open hours and on our website, to download and print at home. Without a signed permission slip, no child under 18 can use the libraryโs computers, iPads, or laptops. These slips are not only important for staff to have to ensure the guardianโs wishes about their childโs internet use are followed, but also so that library staff have reliable emergency contact information. Please also note that children under the age of 8 are not permitted in the library without an adult or an accompanying child over the age of 14. Library staff are not responsible for watching over or babysitting children at the library and cannot monitor childrenโs comings and goings. Summer Reading starts the first week of June! Check out our calendar at www.patagoniapubliclibrary.org to see upcoming events.
