Deadline Approaching for SBA Working Capital Loans Due to Drought

May 28 is the deadline for small nonfarm businesses to apply for a low-interest federal disaster loan to offset economic losses caused by drought that began Sept. 19, 2023. Details can be found by clicking here.

The 25thย Annual Elgin School Burger Burn will be held on Friday, May 3 from 4:30-6:30 PM at Elgin School! Elgin School staff hosts an event to give back to our community and thank the students, parents, and community for their support during the school year.ย Complimentary hot dogs, hamburgers, popcorn, sno-cones, and games for all to enjoy!

The PRT is published on the first Friday of every month (except July and September) and is available at these distribution points while supplies last.

Submitting Events to the PRT

The PRT is committed to sharing details and information about upcoming community events with our readers at no cost in our weekly e-newsletter. Due to the large number of submissions, the PRT will no longer be able to post each and every poster in our newsletter. We will share a link to your event page or poster, or a brief description of each event. Each week we will post one or two event flyers. Please share your events via email at least one week before the event date. Poster submissions require a JPEG format along with a brief typed description about the event in your email to Nisa Talavera, Assistant Editor at prtasted@gmail.com. All submissions for the Wednesday e-newsletter must be submitted by Monday, 5pm.

May 4 – 5 and May 11 – 12: – 11am-6pm Lifeguard Training at the Patagonia Pool
Ages 14 and up – Deadline to register is April 18
Pre-registration is required, as is pre-course work. To register, email Mia Arochi marochi@psd0620.org and put LIFEGUARD TRAINING in the subject line. She will send the information to the instructor – pay attention to your email to get the information for your pre-course work. Cost: $175 will be reimbursed upon successful completion of the course if you will be covering the Patagonia Pool. Successful course completion is required for both paid and volunteer lifeguards.

May 5: 3 – 4:30pm Ear Palace Double Trouble Ensemble – A Benderly Concert Event in Patagonia.

Patagonia Volunteer Fire and Rescue Annual Steak Fry 2024
Celebrating our 100th Year of Service to our Community
The 47th Annual PVFR Steak Fry will be held at the town park on Sat., June 29, 4:30pm. The meal will be a steak off our famous custom built grill, beans, coleslaw, salsa, tortilla and drink for $25.00 – Kids meals (under 15- $15.00) will substitute a hamburger for the steak. There will be a live auction, a raffle, and dancing to live music by Nightlife. Raffle tickets can be purchased from PVFR members in advance or at the event- $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. Volunteer with Tucson Audubon We still have an urgent need for Paton Center Birding Ambassadors in April! Volunteers will ensure feeders and water stations are maintained for the birds and will be the face of Tucson Audubon to all of our guests at the Paton Center for Hummingbirds. The Patagonia Community Garden is inviting people in the community to join the Patagonia Community Garden in time for Spring planting. Both raised containers and garden plots are available for only $5/month. No previous gardening experience necessary. All ages welcome.
