Jan. 5, 2026 update: Memorial services have been announced.
From Patagonia Fire and Rescue, Dec. 24, 2025:
Patagonia Volunteer Fire and Rescue is sad to share the news that our beloved Chief Emeritus Ike Isakson passed away on the evening of December 23. He was surrounded by friends and family, including his dear wife Dianne who never left his side during his time in the hospital and care facility where he spent his last days.
Ike served his community for more than three decades of dedicated service through PVFR, but also through a stint as Mayor, and as a good neighbor. Thereโs hardly a person in this community who has not been touched by his spirit of caring and giving, and his warm, playful and positive personality.
One of his proudest achievements was the huge role he played in guiding young members of our community into Emergency Services, where some advanced to paying careers, and some remain to this day serving our town, several following his footsteps into leadership roles within the Department.
We wish our dear brother, who was like a father to many of us, sweet peaceful rest. And we embrace the family in the warmth of our hearts as they adjust to this challenging loss and change.
There is a gofundme page for memorial services: https://gofund.me/747d74a89
Ikeโs family thanks the community for their support.
