Robert Brandt, President, Contributing Writer

After a career managing mental health programs in Maryland, Bob and wife Anne traveled full-time in an RV and eventually settled in Patagonia where Bob volunteers with several organizations, plays a little harmonica and loves to hike and dance.

Lynn Davison, Vice-President, Contributing Writer

Lynn is a Patagonia resident and has been a PRT contributing writer, photographer, and board member for the past six years.  Her career was primarily in the public and nonprofit sectors, where she held management positions in the public health, mental health, environmental, and housing fields. Lynn and her spouse, Judy Clegg, share time between Patagonia and Vashon Island, Washington.

Kathryn Schrag, Secretary

Kathryn joined the PRT BOD in 2016, Her professional experience is as a certified nurse midwife in both clinical practice and as faculty in a graduate university, but her belief in community journalism led her to answer the call to be a board member. She and her husband, Martin Levowitz, moved from Tucson to Patagonia in 2002, and have not regretted their decision for a moment.

Philip Sullivan, Treasurer

Philip is a resident of Sonoita and works at the National Bank of Arizona.  He joined the PRT Board in 2017.

Donna Lee, Board Member

Donna was born in the southwest, retired as a religious educator nearly 20 years ago, and today divides time between homes in remote Alaska and rural Arizona. She likes to read and to create quilts.

Cassina Farley, Board Member, Monthly Columnist

Cassina is a life long resident of Patagonia and the Director of the Patagonia Creative Arts Association -a non profit arts education center. Cassina volunteers at many organizations within our community and currently serves on the board of the PRT where she heads up the volunteer committee and writes a monthly column.

Jac Heiss, Board Member

Jac is a retired educator who worked in several districts throughout Arizona, including 20 years in Patagonia.  When they are not “coaching” their garden and greenhouse veggies to the finish line, he and his wife Denise spend as much time as possible with their grandkids.

Anita Francesca Claverie, Board Member, Contributing Writer

Francesca is from Calexico, CA and has worked at the UC Davis Arboretum and as a nematode identification lab tech before coming to Patagonia in 2013. She now manages the Borderlands Restoration native plant nursery and loves the amazing community of people, history, and plant diversity of these mountains.

Tom Beal, Board Member

Tom is a recently retired journalist, who had a 43-year career at the Arizona Daily Star in Tucson.   He brings to the PRT decades of experience in the world of newspapers including being a journalist, a columnist, and a writer of opinion pieces.   Those of us in our community who have read his work will recognize that his interest in supporting community journalism as a member of the PRT is a gift to our readers.  Read his final column in the Arizona Daily Star, a reflection on his newspaper career.
