Andrew Kelly

March 15, 1938 – May 17, 2024

Andy Kelly, born in Tucson March 15, 1938, died at Peppi’s House May 17, 2024, at the age of 86. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years Patti, his parents and his brother William.

He graduated from Tucson High School 1956, BA from UA and executive MBA from Harvard. A well-known Tucson real estate developer, he created both residential and commercial properties through his company, Canoa and had a large role in facilitating the opening of the College of Veterinary Medicine at UA.

A great wit, he was always the life of the party. He volunteered for many local causes: YMCA, Tucson Conquistadores and Los Charros Foundation and was a member of Sigma Chi.

In 1995 Andy and Patti fulfilled their dream of living a rural lifestyle at their Umpire Ranch in Canelo.

Survived by his son, Andrew B. Kelly, Jr. (Liza); his daughter Maureen Kelly Dowers (Ken); his grandchildren Marializa Kelly (Christian Holden), Katrina and Ciera Kelly, and Hanna Dowers; his sister-in-law Betty Barr (John); nieces Kathleen Hall (Charles), Ann Mason (Tom), nephew Joseph Barr and many great-grandchildren.
